In The Frow at Fashion Week….
Myself and THE real life Patsy from AbFab: Claire Lloyd (pictured below) set off for the VIP launch of Cardiff Fashion Week! Before we left Pembrokeshire we already had a glass of champagne in our hands and giggled away the journey up to the Capital! Claire looked as glamorous as ever in a navy trilby hat and floor length faux fur coat – she rocked it! See a previous post of Claire’s beautiful interior designed home here
It was held in the calming and tranquil Urbasba Spa with prosecco on arrival and handmade marshmallows also awaited guests which were absolutely delicious!
I set back up to Cardiff for the main events on the weekend and we started off the day with a gorgeous french toast breakfast at Cote’s before attending the catwalk shows…
There was a Designer Shopping Village where you could meet the Designers and shop their items. One brand that caught my eye was Rain Fashion http://www.rainfashion.co.uk
‘Rain is a Welsh Luxury brand with a bohemian kick of a cowgirl and rhythm of a gypsy soul. Inspired by days gone by and travellers best kept secrets’ Their heavily beaded designs really stood out and would be perfect for that special Christmas outfit!
Pictured below is the work of the wonderful Hannah Davies (myself and Hannah have worked together on projects before and her designs are gorgeous!) LOVEEEE these arm knitted chunky scarfs !
Catwalk designs from Coleg Sir Gar featured below
One to Watch: Lian Cara
My favourite collection of the day was by Lian Cara (below)
Lian studied at the same University as myself and it was great to see the outstanding talent emerging from Coleg Sir Gar!! I adore her intricate detailed silk floor length pieces…Visit her beautiful website here: https://www.liancara.com
I was so busy taking snaps of everyone’s designs that I forgot to get any of my own collection ‘Botanika’ which also featured on the catwalk so I have borrowed these from the official photographer of Cardiff Fashion Week below 🙂
Cardiff Fashion Week was once again a brilliant experience and I can’t wait for next year 🙂
